@bitdepth Ran was such an epic movie and I was lucky to have seen it in a big theatre when it premiered.. Takemitsu’s score was breathtaking.
An interesting side note: if you’re watching Revenge of the Sith, you can start Takemitsu’s battle music (also called Hell’s Picture Scroll) with the instant that Obi-Wan hits the water in the Order 66 scene. The music synchronizes with what’s going on in the Order 66 scene right up until the moment Chewbacca carries Yoda off the platform.
